Kim Gossman

Center Director

Kim received a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Communication and Counseling, English and Theater from Central Michigan University and is a certified Student Assistance Counselor. She has a background in education, counseling, program development, management, customer service and community outreach, having served in various roles throughout her career.

Prior to coming to KnowledgePoints, Kim proudly served as the Center Director for two successful tutoring centers in Southeastern Michigan.  Her centers developed an excellent reputation in the community for providing superior service and student results.  Kim was twice nominated for Center Director of the Year with this national organization.

Kim is passionate about helping students and families find success.  Her role as a Center Director in the tutoring field has been the most fulfilling position of her career, and she is excited to begin a new chapter here in Pasco County.

Kim is a native of Michigan and moved to Florida with her husband, Tom, in August 2018.  They have two sons – Jake, a Freshman in college and Alec, a United States Marine.

Rocky Contreras has enjoyed a successful business career primarily spent teaching, training and leading others. A winner of the “World Class Service Award” for superlative service and support, Rocky looks forward to providing Trinity families with an outstanding experience as they help their children succeed.

Mr. Contreras is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Rollins College, where he played varsity baseball, was a GTE Academic All-American, and won the Gunderlyke Scholarship.

Monica Contreras has been teaching elementary education for more than 20 years. She was named Teacher of the Year at McKitrick Elementary School in 2014 and at Pembroke Pines Charter School in 2000. She received the Most Influential Teacher Award at Dodson Elementary in Nashville, TN, and served as the Special Events Director for Western School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

For the past ten years, Ms. Contreras has been teaching at highly regarded McKitrick Elementary School in nearby Lutz. McKitrick is a recipient of both the “5-Star” and “Golden School” Awards. Ms. Contreras is ESOL Certified and currently teaches third grade. She is also a member of the Van Dyke Day School Advisory Board.
